Avon Communications Awards: Speaking Out About Violence Against Women by submitting your organizations materials to the Communications X-Change.

Opportunity is knocking. Enter the Avon Communications Awards: Speaking Out About Violence Against Women by submitting your organizations materials to the Communications X-Change.

The Communications X-Change is an innovative digital library, developed by Futures Without Violence and funded by Avon Foundation for Women, that enables people across the globe to share communication materials and campaigns to end violence against women and children.

When you contribute your materials (posters, pamphlets, video, etc.) to the Communications X-Change by February 4, 2013, you'll be automatically eligible to win a grant of between $5,000 and $10,000 for your organization's critical work. Prizes totaling $25,000 will be awarded at an event in New York City timed to observe International Women's Day (March 8) and the 57th Commission on the Status of Women, focusing this year on how to end violence against women.

Adding your material to the Communications X-Change is easy. Just visit http://xchange.futureswithoutviolence.org/ and upload your digital content. This year's Avon Communications Awards will salute organizations whose strategic communications tools are changing communities, policies, institutions, and behaviors. An international panel of judges will review the materials submitted to the Communications X-Change.

Let's show the world the remarkable and effective materials that are inspiring, educating, and advocating an end to violence against women and children. If you have any questions, please contact Celia Richa of Futures Without Violence at 202-959-7387 or cricha@futureswithoutviolence.org.
